In this episode, she shares:

  • Her philosophy on having a professional portfolio of multiple jobs/projects you work on vs. having just one job

  • How having a high school teacher who took her ideas and thoughts seriously helped her become the 1st in her family to attend college and earn a PhD

  • Why it’s important to advocate for yourself and not accept no as answer when you’re pursuing something you really want to do

  • How learning how to think and problem-solve helped her get a job in an industry where she had no experience

  • What questions you should ask yourself before deciding to pursue a PhD
